2,805 Reasons Virginia is Tough on Traffic Violations

That’s how many reckless driving tickets were issued in Virginia on Independence Day weekend this year. 2,805, as reported by the Free Lance-Star.

In addition to all those reckless driving tickets, 10,462 speeding tickets were written.

I don’t have to tell you that’s a whole heck of a lot of tickets for a single weekend. I don’t have statistics for an average weekend in Virginia, but I’m sure the numbers aren’t anywhere near that high.
