Big Possession of Marijuana Busts

The Free Lance-Star is reporting two days of drug busts out in Westmoreland County. They seized a combined total of over 700 marijuana plants.

Oddly to me, they only charged one person with anything. Donald Henderson was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school zone and possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture.

A tri-county task force using a National Guard helicopter conducted air surveillance and seized plants at four separate locations around the county.

What’s the lesson to be learned here? First off, don’t grow marijuana. Secondly, the Commonwealth is serious about prosecuting possession of marijuana.
