Should I plead guilty or no contest in traffic court?

Unfortunately, I can’t answer that question unless I’m your attorney.

The problem is that different judges like different pleas, and it also depends upon whether or not the officer’s evidence is in order. I normally don’t decide how to advise my clients until I’ve evaluated the judge who is on the bench, the officer’s evidence, and any other relevant facts. That usually happens at court right before the case is called.

Usually if the officer’s evidence is in order and we’re trying to negotiate the case to a lesser offense, I’d advise a client to plead “no contest.” But that does differ based on all the facts and circumstances of the specific case.
